Permanent Makeup Eyeliner fades blue or grey

by | May 29, 2024

FAQ:

I had permanent eyeliner done in the past.  The artist used Black pigment.  It looked black for a while, but overtime, it faded Blue Grey.  Why does this happen and what can I do to make them black again?

All pigment that has sun exposure will eventually fade.  Cool Blacks fade Blue.  Warm Blacks fade Grey or Blue.

Touch ups are preferred to keeping permanent eyeliner looking Black in color.  If you have blue liner, ask the artist to do few passes with an Orange Pigment.
This will warm up the blue color.  Then proceed with Black pigment.
