Is Microblading same as Permanent Makeup? Think of Permanent Makeup as the Big Umbrella. Under the big umbrella, there are three Permanent Makeup tools/modalities:
1. Rotary (tattoo machine for the face, less thrust power than the machines used on the body
2. SofTap
3. Microblade
Microblading is a specific tool/modality. However, the internet interchanges the word “Permanent Makeup” and “Microblading”. The tool Microblade is used for the brows only. A Microblade should not be used for Permanent Eyeliner and Lip Blushing. The Rotary and SofTap tools are used for the eyeliner and lip services.
